            computer operating systems will enable you to install a browser and e-mail application.
            Many of the operating systems have the e-mail client built in. Any of the following
            operating systems will allow you to install e-mail software and have the set-up establish
            an Internet connection. Operating systems are Windows 3.1/95/98/2000/Me/XP/NT, Linux,
            Solaris, Unix, Mac.
 
          - The
            Registry is a database used to store settings and options for the 32/64 bit
            versions of Microsoft Windows; including Windows 95/98/2000/Me/NT. It contains information
            and settings for all the hardware, software, users, and preferences of the PC. Whenever a
            user makes changes to a Control Panel settings, or File Associations, System Policies, or
            installed software, the changes are reflected and stored in the Registry.
